1. Contract
Xcatalogue.co.uk (“Xcatalogue”, “Xcat”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) operates as an online marketplace and retailer specialising in tools, accessories, refurbished products, workshop supplies, and vehicle advertising through Xcat Motors.
By placing an order, creating an account, sending messages, selling on the platform, or advertising a vehicle through Xcat Motors, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Updates apply to all activity after publication.
2. Xcat Marketplace
Xcatalogue operates as both a direct retailer and a multi-vendor marketplace. Approved third-party sellers (“Xcat Trusted Sellers”) may list and sell products alongside Xcatalogue-owned stock.
Where a product is sold by a third-party seller, that seller is responsible for product accuracy, condition, dispatch, and fulfilment unless Xcatalogue explicitly handles fulfilment.
Xcatalogue reserves the right to monitor listings, orders, messages, and marketplace activity to maintain standards and protect customers and sellers.
3. Keeping Transactions Inside Xcat
For your protection, marketplace communication, payments, and transactions must remain within the Xcatalogue platform unless Xcat expressly provides an authorised contact facility.
Customers and sellers must not exchange contact details, request direct payments, or attempt to arrange transactions outside Xcatalogue except where Xcat expressly permits direct contact through an authorised service such as Xcat Motors seller contact access.
Messages may be automatically scanned and, where necessary, manually reviewed to detect fraud, policy violations, or attempts to bypass the platform.
Accounts found attempting to trade outside Xcatalogue without using an authorised Xcat contact facility may be restricted or suspended.
4. Order Processing
Orders may be placed via the website or approved sales channels. Orders are only confirmed once payment has been successfully processed.
We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order, including where pricing errors occur, stock is unavailable, or fraud checks fail. A refund will be issued where applicable.
5. Website Operation
Our website operates 24/7. An automated order confirmation may be issued, but the contract to supply goods is formed only when the order is accepted and dispatched.
6. Pricing and Payments
- All prices are shown in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable.
- We strive for pricing accuracy but reserve the right to correct errors.
- Payments must be completed using approved secure checkout methods.
- Full payment must be received before dispatch where applicable.
- Payments must not be made directly to sellers outside Xcatalogue except where Xcat expressly permits a direct transaction through an authorised service such as Xcat Motors.
7. Dispatch and Delivery
- Orders are typically processed within 1–3 working days.
- Delivery times vary depending on location, seller handling, and courier.
- We use Royal Mail, couriers, and freight services.
- Tracking is provided where available.
- We are not responsible for delays beyond our control.
8. Product Listings and Condition
Products may be new, refurbished, used, clearance, or ex-catalogue. Condition is stated in the listing.
Descriptions and images are provided for guidance. Customers should review all listing details before purchase.
Third-party sellers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings.
9. Warranty
Warranty terms vary by product and are stated on the product page where applicable.
Refurbished products sold by Xcatalogue are tested prior to sale unless stated otherwise.
Warranty does not cover misuse, accidental damage, or normal wear and tear.
10. Cancellation and Returns
Cancellation Before Dispatch
Orders may be cancelled before dispatch for a full refund where applicable.
Returns
Customers have 30 days from delivery to return eligible items in their original condition.
Refunds are typically processed within 7 days of receiving the returned item.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty or incorrect.
Faulty or Damaged Items
If an item arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us as soon as possible.
11. Seller Standards
Sellers must provide accurate listings, fair pricing, and reliable dispatch where applicable.
Xcatalogue may hold or adjust seller payments where required for returns, disputes, refunds, or marketplace protection.
Sellers are responsible for complying with the requirements applicable to the products or vehicles they advertise through Xcat.
12. Xcat Motors – Vehicle Advertising
Vehicle Listings
Xcat Motors provides a platform through which sellers can advertise vehicles for sale and interested buyers can contact those sellers.
Vehicle sellers are responsible for ensuring that all information contained in their advert is accurate and not misleading. This includes, where applicable, the vehicle description, condition, mileage, specifications, photographs, asking price, ownership information, and other details supplied with the advert.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Xcat does not own, inspect, warrant, or guarantee vehicles advertised by third-party sellers.
Seller Phone Contact
A valid seller telephone number is required when advertising a vehicle through Xcat Motors.
Direct buyer-to-seller telephone contact is provided through the authorised Xcat Motors contact system.
The seller's telephone number is not displayed publicly within the vehicle advert before access has been unlocked.
By submitting a vehicle advert, the seller agrees to allow interested buyers access to their telephone number after the buyer successfully completes the Xcat contact unlock process.
Sellers must not submit a vehicle advert if they do not agree to their telephone number being made available through this process.
Contact Unlock
Xcat may charge buyers a contact unlock fee before providing access to a vehicle seller's telephone number. The applicable fee will be clearly displayed before payment.
The contact unlock fee pays for access to the seller's contact number only.
A contact unlock does not reserve the vehicle, guarantee that the vehicle remains available, verify the condition or ownership of the vehicle, or create a contract for the purchase of the vehicle.
Where a buyer uses the contact unlock service as a guest, access may not be retained after the buyer leaves or refreshes the vehicle page.
Where Xcat provides persistent contact access to registered users, the availability and conditions of that service will be displayed before the buyer completes the contact unlock.
Contacting the Seller
Once the Xcat Motors contact unlock has been successfully completed, the buyer may contact the seller directly using the telephone number provided.
The seller and buyer are responsible for any subsequent discussions, inspections, negotiations, payment arrangements, collection arrangements, and agreement for the purchase or sale of the vehicle.
The release of a seller's telephone number through the authorised Xcat Motors contact system is an exception to Xcat's general restriction on exchanging contact details outside the marketplace.
Buying a Vehicle
Buyers are responsible for carrying out appropriate checks before agreeing to purchase a vehicle. This may include checking the vehicle's identity, ownership, history, mileage, condition, documentation, roadworthiness, and suitability.
Buyers should inspect a vehicle and satisfy themselves that the vehicle and seller are genuine before making payment or completing a purchase.
Unless Xcat expressly states otherwise on a particular vehicle listing, Xcat is not a party to the contract for the subsequent purchase or sale of a vehicle advertised through Xcat Motors.
Misuse of Contact Information
Seller contact information obtained through Xcat Motors must only be used for genuine enquiries concerning the vehicle advertised.
Contact information must not be collected, published, sold, shared, used for marketing, or used for harassment, spam, or any unrelated purpose.
Xcat may restrict or suspend access where the contact service is abused.
13. Messaging and Communication
Xcat messaging must only be used for legitimate marketplace communication.
Sharing contact details or arranging off-platform transactions is not permitted except where Xcat expressly provides or authorises a contact facility, including Xcat Motors seller contact access.
Xcat reserves the right to take reasonable measures to protect users and the marketplace from fraud, spam, abuse, or attempts to bypass marketplace systems.
14. Privacy and Data Protection
We handle personal data in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws.
We do not sell personal data.
Personal information made available through an authorised Xcat service, including Xcat Motors seller contact information, must only be used for the purpose for which access was provided.
For further information about how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information, see our Privacy Policy.
15. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies where necessary to provide website functionality, remember preferences, improve performance, and support marketplace features.
Where consent is required, users will be provided with appropriate choices through the website.
16. Website Use
Content is provided for guidance only. We are not responsible for minor inaccuracies.
Unauthorised reproduction of website content is prohibited.
Users must not misuse Xcat services, attempt to circumvent marketplace protections, interfere with website operation, or use information obtained through the platform for an unauthorised purpose.
17. Liability
We are not responsible for indirect losses, delays outside our control, or misuse of products.
For third-party vehicles advertised through Xcat Motors, Xcat provides the advertising and contact platform unless expressly stated otherwise.
Responsibility for a third-party vehicle and any subsequent sale remains with the buyer and seller, subject to applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits any liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
18. General Terms
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the applicable laws of the United Kingdom.
If any part of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable, the remaining terms remain valid.
19. Contact and Support
For help with orders, returns, seller issues, Xcat Motors, or use of the Xcat marketplace, contact Customer Support.
